Terms of sale
These are the terms for the Mission Control: Founding Team pre-order. We wrote them in plain English on purpose. If anything here is unclear, ask before you pay.
Who you're buying from
CrewChiefSteve Technologies, Inc., a Delaware corporation based in Mooresville, North Carolina ("we", "us"). "You" means the person or team placing the reservation.
What you're buying
One of 10 serial-numbered Mission Control founding systems. Each system includes:
- Mission Control Pad, set up and signed in to your team's account.
- USB camera with housing, and a dash mount.
- Track Pod.
- Trackside and Portal for your team: 12 months of software, starting at delivery.
- A setup session with Steve.
Track instruments (for example scales, ride height and tire temperature tools) are not included. Founding teams get first access to them at founding prices when they are available.
Price and payment
The price is $2,500 (US dollars), paid in full when you reserve. Sales tax is added at checkout where required. Shipping within the United States is included.
We hold your payment as a customer deposit until your system ships. It is not ours to keep until then.
Refunds
You can cancel and get a 100% refund any time before your system ships. No reason needed. Email us at the address below. We refund the full amount to your original payment method within 10 business days of your request.
Once your system has shipped, this refund no longer applies; problems with the hardware are covered by the warranty below.
Delivery and delays
Estimated delivery is February 2027. We ship within the United States.
If we can't ship by February 28, 2027, we will tell you by February 1, 2027, give you a new estimated ship date, and you choose: wait for it, or cancel for a full refund. If you don't reply, your reservation stays in place, and you can still cancel for a full refund any time before it ships.
If we have to delay again after that, we will ask you again. Unless you tell us you want to keep waiting, we will cancel your order and refund you in full.
This follows the U.S. Federal Trade Commission's Mail, Internet, or Telephone Order Merchandise Rule: we tell you about a delay and you choose to wait or take a refund.
Software
Your system includes Trackside and Portal for your team for 12 months, starting on the day your system is delivered. We will tell you the renewal options and price before those 12 months end; renewing is your choice.
The software is licensed to you for use with your team, not sold. How we handle personal information is described in our privacy policy.
Hardware warranty
We give a limited 90-day hardware warranty, starting on the day your system is delivered. If the Pad, Track Pod, camera or mount fails because of a defect in materials or workmanship in normal use, we will repair or replace it.
The warranty doesn't cover damage from crashes, impacts, fire, water, modification, or use other than as we describe in the setup instructions. Where the law allows, any implied warranties last only as long as this one. Some states don't allow limits like these, so they may not apply to you, and you may have other rights under your state's law.
Racing is dangerous
Motorsport can injure or kill people. Mission Control is an information tool. It shows the driver and crew data. It does not control the car, and it is not a safety system.
- The driver and the team remain responsible for every decision about driving, setup and safety.
- Mount the Pad, camera and Track Pod securely, where they can't distract the driver or come loose, and within your sanctioning body's rules.
- Don't rely on the system for anything that could hurt someone if the data were wrong or missing.
Where the law allows, our total liability to you for anything related to the system is limited to the amount you paid for it.
